Yep, At it Again

Yesterday I had plans to paint one little item and I ended up painting three things. You just never know. I know I have a dose of spring fever and I just can't stop freshening some things up.

This is the finished look of the little coffee table in the sun room I worked on.

The table was given to me by my sister  when she got our mom's old coffee table. I love that this one is crudely made and the top is old tongue and groove boards.

I was never wild about the gray color I painted it last year so out came my paint and brush.

You can see the line of nails and the poor condition of the wood. This table is in front of me when I am in my chair in the sun room blogging and it was telling me to freshen it up. Yes, my furniture talks to me.

Now, it is happy in its fresher look.

The top still shows all the nail holes and dings still since it was sort of a mini face lift. She didn't want to look over done like Joan Rivers.

It didn't take me long to paint and wax it to achieve this whole new look.

And plain old white looks much better styled with lavender bunches don'tcha think?
The lavender is from Decor Steals and was a really good buy for three large bunches and the smell is divine.

But this is how the table is really styled with this seagrass woven tray from Pottery Barn outlet filled with decor books and

 this knotty driftwood.

Oh, and the other two things I painted? They will be shared all in due time.

Thanks so much for all your kind comments on my houzz tour post.

On another note I am guest posting at my friend Debbiedoos. Come check out one of my obsessions.

  3. I luv the little table!! I thought it was pretty in the grey as well, but now it's stunning! The nail hoes and imperfections on the top really pop now. I luv that.
I am taking in a deep breath... hoping I can smell your awesome lavender.

  4. That is a lovely little table, Kim. So fresh and a very pretty look with the lavender styling. That is just the kind of chunky coffee table I want for our living room, with a planked top. I found a freebie that I am painting for now, but when I find one like this I will sell the current one. Love the seagrass basket with the woven rug too.

I wonder how many layers of paint are on your most painted piece of furniture? :) Looking forward to seeing the other pieces you painted, and hearing about your milk paint class.
