Luckett's Green Love and the Giveaway Winner

4.27.2013

Last week I gave you some peeks at the new look for the old nautical guest room. Can you tell what  direction I went in?

Today I am sharing a table that I moved from the sun room and added in the guest room. After placing it in its original color I decided it needed to be updated.

This is how the table looked before. This was the very first piece that I painted with Annie Sloan chalk paint. This color is Old Ochre.

I decided it needed a bit more color and needed to be a bit more worn with the room's new look.

I love Miss Mustard Seed's Milk Paint in Luckett's Green.

This time I painted the top, too and love how the paint peeled.

I sanded the legs since they didn't peel much.

And the after.

The winner of the Everyday Icing giveaway is # 70 Di of Cottage Wishes.
Congrats, Di, and I need your email address.

Enjoy the weekend!

  6. Love how that turned out! It was a blessing to use the old ochre paint underneath because now it's peeking through the green. Such a great look. It looks like you found it that way in some old antique shop.

  20. Very nice! I was out shopping for furniture for my mother-in-law and I asked her what she thought about the new painted furniture trend (it was a distressed piece), she said it's a bit scratched up isn't it!! So funny! I told her I plan on painting my coffee table to look like that!
I do love the finish on the table! and the color too!

    Blessings~ Becki

  21. That is a lovely colour and looks great in your room. I love how the Luckett's green picks up the green in the quilt, and the buffalo check curtains picks up the red in the pitcher.

  25. Lovely! pretty color. Kim there's something about the settings on your blog page that doesn't work on the IPad. I have to read it on my computer to be able to see it. This didn't use to be the case. Has something changed?

  26. BEAUTIFUL! I think chalk paint might be the best way to get milk paint to adhere! I have painted over chalk paint with milk paint a couple of times, and got no chipping at all! The table looks beautiful! Life to the full! Melissa @ DaisyMaeBelle
