More High Point

4.28.2013

Well, I was going to share the guest room reveal today, but I need to take a few more pictures and it is very dark out today with all this rain. I hope it gets lighter soon. So instead I am sharing more of the High Point Furniture Market with you that I attended last week.

Day two started with a quick breakfast, since we were running late, that we had been invited to attend and then we listened to Aerin Lauder, granddaughter of Este Lauder, talk for a few minutes about being surrounded by beautiful things.

Then it was back to looking at some more showrooms.

I think these first few photos are A & B Home.

Elegant Earth was one of my favorite showrooms. I love all these urns and other garden accessories.

This showroom was wall to wall aubusson pillows, rugs and tapestries. There may just be something getting shipped to me soon. I loved these horse pillows, but that isn't what is coming.

We were invited to have lunch and tour the showroom at Sommerset Bay. We all loved this bed.

Sommerset Bay was filled with furniture in fun bright colors.

There were also some beautiful antiques.

Love the copper.

If I owned a shop it would have been very hard not ordering it all.

Next I will share actual places we could purchase from.

Have a super week!

  1. One of my dearest friends is an interior decorator and has access to the Pacific Design Center. Every summer I go with her just for fun. If I could actually purchase anything, it would be bad because there is so much I would buy.

  11. I loved the yellow colored chest hardware because it makes me rethink about leaving the original hardware on a yellow hutch I found. I also like the ornate lamps I say in "Elegant Earth" because if you look hard anyone you can find these beauties. I have found at 6-8 and I love painting them and all the details that pop...And of course, I would love the antique blue chest. Thanks for sharing Kim:)
