Furniture Swapping

5.30.2013

I told y'all  when I shared my new pillow and coffee table vignette, that some other changes had taken place in the great room. I made a furniture switch on this wall.

After removing the apple painting, to use in the guest room, this table just didn't look right so I had an idea to swap this table with the chest in the hall around the corner and it worked.

I like the height of this piece here better (for now). The long sofa table also fits better in the hall.

Of course switching pieces means creating new vignettes and today I am sharing the one on the chest.

My ugly, as Mr. Savvy calls it, sheep picture leans against the wall.

A large vintage ironstone picture sits on top of a stack of design books and is filled with lavender.

My large jar filled with this and that and mostly vintage finds.

Of course a lamp is included.

Here is a wide shot and you can see the sofa table sitting in the hall to the right.

I also switched the pillow in the chair.

Can't believe it is almost the weekend again.
Hope you will come back tomorrow for my guest blogger's favorite room.

Have you swapped any furniture lately?

  4. I LOVE it. I have that very dresser. My grandfather gave it to us when we were married, and we refinished it. I like your dark pulls. Mine are brassy, and the dark really pops. The dresser shows up so much better than the previous piece. And as usual, your vignette is fantastic.

  10. I do like the new "vignette" (I feel so fancy saying that) better. I dont get pillows in baskets though LOL.

No, I don't believe I have swapped anything lately. Our home is definitely a "collected over time" look and things are sometimes added/deleted, but I don't swap/change things around that often.

  46. Have you ever noticed in photos of live sheep, there is always at least one or more sheep looking right at the camera as though they are posing like humans? I love that your sheep painting has the sheep looking directly into our eyes.

The jar of this and that is very intriguing. I would love to rummage through it.

    Wonderful decor...
