Farmhouse Style Guest Room Additions

6.06.2013

I revealed the guest room makeover not too long ago, but if you know me things are usually switched, removed, or added at any given time in my home. I think most of us are probably never finished decorating. We look at Pinterest, magazines, home shows, and blogs and our brains are overloaded with new ideas so we are always playing house as Mr. Savvy calls it.

I was on ebay looking at art and found this cute little painting of cows lying in the pasture near a barn.

It was a good price and perfect for this room. It was not framed so I went to Hobby Lobby when the frames were half price.

I picked a frame just like the one I had gotten for the picture below it. I love getting these frames at HL because they will frame the art for you for free. I only had to pay $2 for the wire and attachments and they do it while you wait. Took five minutes.

When the master bedroom was redone I didn't place this basket back in there so I placed it at the end of the bed in this room with an old pillow on top.

I bought this little stool in High Point at one of the warehouses we shopped. There were stacks of these in different colors and was only $18. It is actually a little lap desk, but is solid wood and pretty heavy and I thought would make a cute stool.

Leila wanted the yellow stool back downstairs so I swapped them.

I swapped out the orchard basket for this vintage gathering basket and filled it with vintage quilts.

So those are just a few additions.
I know you didn't expect me not to make changes, now did you?
:)

Today we pick up my son and his family at the airport returning from their three week trip to Italy.
I know....to be so lucky!

Don't miss tomorrow's guest blogger's favorite room. It's a great space and this blogger may be new to most of you.
