Saturday Snapshots

8.24.2013

It was absolutely gorgeous out today and I haven't been able to say that in a long time. It is even fall like with lower humidity and a nice breeze. Ahhhhhhhh, makes me long for fall already. I went on the hunt for some storage containers to put my stuff back under the kitchen sink after Mr. Savvy installed our new Bosch dishwasher. I had just a big huge mess under there and it was all soaked with water from the dishwasher hose that was leaking water under the cabinet. So I decided I would put things back a bit neater this time.

While I was at HomeGoods I took a few pictures with my new iphone and posted them on instagram. I thought I would just share them here with you.

They had lots of nice chairs and really reasonable prices. Now, I don't go to the HomeGoods that is only ten minutes from me. No, I go on a nice thirty minute drive to one that is bigger and has more stuff.

This was a nice Ralph Lauren brass lamp. There was a pair and they are heavy, too. Only $49. Of course I really don't need any more lamps.

Okay, now what do you think of these lamps? Kind of weird if you ask me. Got rocks?

This was a really pretty mirrored chest and only $229. Would be beautiful by a bed.

They had lots of preserved boxwood topiaries. This is just one little bit of them.

And anyone need a mummy? Just sayin.......

So that was my day. What did you do?

If you want to see some of my goings on then just follow me on instagram.
This  is all new to me and I am slowly catching on.
Some folks do some fancy things on instagram that I need to learn. They share their blog stuff and collages and each other's blogs. I must learn these things.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

  6. Those are preserved boxwoods? Or faux/silk ones?

Just wondering - because it would be so surprising to see real preserved boxwoods "en masse" in a store like that, discounted.

    Your iphone takes awesome pics.

  21. I bet you were up in my neck of the woods! Hard to believe that the Halloween stuff is already out. I noticed them putting it out weeks ago (before school started back). Crazy! Congrats on getting a Bosch dishwasher. Those are nice! Bet its very quiet too. Today the weather is just as nice. I'm so relieved to have sunny cool days and NO RAIN! I hope we don't see rain for at least a month! (In my dreams)

  24. Can I say I love you!! That is how excited I was when I saw your post with Home Goods photographs.
HG is my 'go to' place for some aesthetic energy and I so very much miss it sitting here in Sweden. I have been reading blogs to keep myself sane (and in touch) but all this makes me long for a peek inside HG, Hobby Lobby or just one of the stores....Thank you for the pictures!
