Fall Sun Room 2012

9.26.2013

While I am travelling I thought I would share a couple of old posts since I have new readers who may not have seen them and those who have may enjoy them again. This is the way my sun room looked last fall when I used greens and browns. Hope you enjoy and the new fall look will be shared after I get back from France.

*********************************************************************************

I truly loved the blue and red accents in my sun room, but y'all knew I would change it up again. For the cooler seasons I just made some simple changes with warmer colors by changing out the accessories. Don't worry the red and blues will be added back next year.

The red and blue was replaced with green and brown.

I changed out the blue and white plates to these green majolica and the brown and white transferware. I already had all these on hand.

Then I pulled out my green Pottery Barn pillow covers and the brown checked Ballard's covers which were also stored. The cute dog pillow is new from Pottery Barn on sale. This dog was as close to looking like Miss Bailey as I could get.

Actually I think Bailey is prettier than this dog. Just sayin.

I filled this vintage enamelware pitcher with real branches of cotton that dear Leo from Cottage at the Crossroads stole cut for me from a field and brought to the conference. Your the best, Leo.

I put my drop cloth table cloth back on the bamboo table. It  is a recycled drapery panel that was stored away. I changed out the demijohn base on the lamp to a larger one.

Changed out the accessories on the table by adding the cement rooster and a very old small dough bowl (that I have had forever and paid $10 for) filled with fruit and textured items.

Simple change of pillows and the accessories on the table on this side. The tall slim lamp was on the round table before and I decided to switch them when I beefed up the size of the demijohn lamp.

I added the trim, that I had stashed, to the bottom of this plain lampshade. I may go get some more and add it to the top, too.

I recently ordered this framed map of the southern states from Decor Steals.

My vintage mounted roe deer antlers are still over the windows on this side.

The vintage quilt, I found last weekend on the shopping part of the Southern Bloggers Conference, is thrown over the bench and can be grabbed and used when the weather gets colder.

Brought back in this old pillow cover from Pottery Barn and placed it on the bench on this side of the room.

View of the t.v. cabinet from my chair. I shared the vignette on top here.

The rug was also warmed up with this jute rug from PB that was also stored away. Now the sea grass rug has been stored. I'm telling you there is nothing like shopping the house. Good thing since I like to change things up.

Bailey says she likes the changes,

but now she just wants to be able to mess up the sofa and take a nap.

On Monday September 30th I will be sharing my 2013 fall sunroom and I will be joining a great group of bloggers.

I'm on my way home today.

See y'all soon!

  8. Hi Kim, I love seeing your decorations, even from last year. I will say the dog on the pillow is a Cairn terrier-at first I thought it was a Border Terrier(my brother has one and I was trying to think if I could get one for him).
Love the comfy homey feeling you always give a room. Thanks for sharing my friend. Happy Fall.
    Hugs, Noreen
