Why Didn't I Think of That?

11.23.2013

Do you ever see a great invention and think, "Why didn't I think of that?" Well, these ScentSicles are one of those inventions.

I wish y'all had smellivison, now that is something someone needs to invent, so y'all could smell these. Most of us these days have artificial trees and wreaths and don't have that wonderful smell of fresh cut trees. Well, let me tell you these ScentSicles smell like the real deal. You can see how the ScentSicles have an attachment at the top to add a hook to to hang with. They come in scents like Spruce, Fir, Pine and even wreath. There are a couple more scents that I was not sent.

I placed a couple of the ScentSicles in this wreath to show you what they look like or you can add an ornament hook to the attachment at the top of the sicle and hang them from your tree and voila your home will smell like you have fresh cut trees in your home.

I set a few of these out after I received them and my whole house smelled so good. You can find these at most stores that sell holiday decorations and I know Home Depot carries them.

Here is a cute youtube video about ScentSicles to enjoy.

Oh, and if you drop by my house you just may go home with some ScentSicles.

Enjoy your weekend!

I was given the ScentSicles to try out and all opinions are my own.

  1. Oh, yes, I grab a tube of the fir every year! I only put one on each tree because they can be "potent!" Love the new fragrances they've come out with.

  9. That IS a great invention! I bet those would help make my home smell good without having to burn a candle all the time. I can't use real greens in my house because it sparks my hay fever. Ever since we quit buying a real Christmas tree, I no longer suffer from that at Christmas time. I'll have to look for those sticks!

  10. Hi Kim,
I grabbed a tube of these this year and they do smell so so good. I love that they make the faux tree smell like it is a fresh cut tree.

  13. What a great idea! I miss the smell of a real Christmas tree but they aren't good for allergies. If I had a penny for every time I wish I'd thought of something….

  14. I saw these at Michael's a couple weeks ago and they were on sale 40% off so about $7.00 Cdn. I didn't buy them. Went to Bed Bath and Beyond and they were $12.00 Cdn. Should have got them at Michael's but was worried the scent might be too strong. I think they have cinnamon scent too. Pam

  16. As you know…I am a happy recipient of those and they are wonderful :)…saw them at Home Depot for $6.99 a tube…well worth the great scent as I used to use the Thymes Frasier Fir and that is also wonderful, but pricey….

  24. Sounds great for the folks with allergies:-) for myself nothing beats a real tree, and I like having natural things in the house, rather than chemicals.

  27. I just bought some last week and I am officially in love. I have always been a fake tree person because of the ease and upkeep and my husband has always been a real tree person because he loves the smell. I got the winter white fir ones and it totally has solved our problem and our house smells amazing...exactly like Christmas! ;)
