My Favorite Holiday Room.....The Essence of Home

12.06.2013

I love this series that my sister does on her blog and was so happy to be asked to share my favorite room during the holidays with you all.

So, without further adieu, this is my favorite room decorated for the holidays.

I decorated in simple red and white country style this year throughout my home.

On my coffee table, I gathered paper whites, greenery, candles, red apples and pine cones to make a nature inspired vignette.  I even wrapped a couple of vintage red books in twine and added them to the mix for an extra pop of color.

My mantel is draped in greenery with pine cones and anchored with topiaries on each end.  A simple wreath is hung over the mirror and stockings embellished with red and white striped ribbon complete the look.

Beside my favorite chair, is a small bench topped with fresh paper whites that haven't yet bloomed.  They are getting taller every day! A Christmas pillow sits in the chair.

A pillow with red stripes was added to my sofa.

On the table between the sofa and chair, I added a bowl of greenery, pine cones and a red apple. This continues the theme around the room.

Well, that about wraps up this room for the holidays!  I hope you enjoyed it.

Thank you, Kim, for asking me to share this with all of your readers today.
