Swapping Things Out

12.03.2013

There are lots of things getting switched out and moved around here and more will be happening as soon as my French antiques arrive. Hopefully that is going to happen soon. Today I wanted to show you a chair I bought from Joss & Main mostly with credits I had saved. The chair with the red fabric on the back and sides and floral front, just wasn't working for me in the sitting room anymore. I was thinking about getting it reupholstered, but then I decided to save my money and use my credits instead for a new chair.

I love my new little chair. First of all it is neutral and it is a bit smaller than the other chair so it really fits better. It isn't a comfortable chair for long lounging, but no one sits in here anyway.

I love the nail head trim. It's those extra details that I look for.

And it has cute little legs on the front with wheels.

I moved the pillows so you can see the details. There is a matching cushion that came with it, but I swapped it out for my pillows to add some texture and color.

Now this chair and the new one work better together.

This collage shows the old chair on the left and the new one.

Where did the other chair go? It found a good new spot and I will show you where soon.

No top three today since last week was just for Christmas' past posts and I did get some inspiration from those so thanks for sharing. Tonight we are back to our regular party links and can't wait to see what you share. I bet there will be lots of Christmas decor.

See you tonight!
Oh, and my blog is still not updating correctly in the blogroll so don't wait for my blog to show up there. Just check to see if I have posted. Not sure why my blog is not updating.

  5. I like your new chair, though I loved the red one that it replaced. I ADORE the tapestry-look pillow on your new chair. Is it from one of your sponsors? If so, I would love to get one. Thanks, Jacki

  6. I love the old chair. The new one is nice, but I can't imagine buying a piece of furniture that is not comfortable.

    1. Tina, as I said this room basically is not used except by Miss Bailey. So comfort is not an issue. It is comfortable enough.

  10. I love all of your decorating tips, Kim! For some reason, even though I subscribe via email, I always have to deliberately go to your website for your posts or catch you when I, rarely, check Facebook. Hmmm.
