New Year New Project

1.04.2014

Well, let's see. It's already January 4 and it is time to start getting some put off projects done this year.

First up is this little hallway off of the garage where we come in from the garage.

I just painted this area a couple years ago when I painted the laundry room which is straight ahead behind that closed door. The yellow in this area has got to go. Lots of cutting in around four doors and  the opening to the kitchen, but I can do it. This will only be the fifth time in eighteen years that I will have painted this area. I also need to replace the overhead light that the yellowish globe makes everything even more yellow than it is.

So these are my best friends this weekend. If you need me I'll be right here.

What are y'all doing this weekend besides trying to keep warm?

Happy Weekend!

  1. That is not fair to not tell us the color you are painting!!!

  2. Fun! Our back hall is similar, EXCEPT it is only about as big as the area of the 3 doors. So hard to turn around in when painting!!! And yes, do tell the paint color choice. LOL

  3. I need to do the same thing except ours has 5 doors and opens into the huge two story entryway. I'll save that wall for the painters. I can't wait to see.

  4. ALL the floorboards and trim in our house could use a new coat of white paint. I hate to pay someone to do what I can do if I just put my mind to it. So, some of your tools will be my best friends over the next month.

    1. What trashy commercial?? You see different things than I do because of how they run on cookies.

    2. Button is right, there is a trashy commercial for a video game. And I am not sure about the tracking cookies dictating it, because my computer has never 'been to' a trashy site. Or a video game site. I hear that this is becoming a problem on several blogs. Good luck solving this issue.

    3. And if I went by what ads I see I would say my site has never been to a trashy site. If you see it again I need the url emailed to me at kimnichols45@hotmail.com so I can check it out.

      thanks

  20. Can't wait to see what color you pick. I have done nothing productive this weekend! Well, not as far as house projects, even though I have a list a mile long! My living room/dining room is a gold color and I am so sick of it. I am just stumped with what to do with it.

  21. Hi Kim, Yes, do tell what color you are using??? I'm sure we'll see it due time. Maybe I'll get motivated to do some wall painting too, lol. Is it cold here or what? Stay warm!
