Vintage French Chair

1.02.2014

When I went to France in September I was looking for a farm table, confit pots, and any other good deals that I might come across. I really was not looking for a chair. In fact I had picked all the items at this one stop and was getting ready to walk outside.....and then I saw it.

 I saw those curves....

and the rush seat

 and that wood

and her lines.

What's not to love?

Then I sat in it and the way the arms are shaped it is quite comfortable. I need to get some more wood restore refinisher to put on the bottom of the legs where the color is worn off and then it will be perfect. Perfectly old and French, that is.

Now it sits proudly in the foyer. I think it may need a little pillow.
This chair is Mr. Savvy's favorite thing that I purchased in France.
 Go figure.

Be sure to come back tomorrow as we start a new year of the "My Favorite Room" series where guest bloggers share their favorite rooms in their homes. I know you will love the first one for the year.
