New Look on One Side of the Sun Room

4.24.2014

I gave y'all some peeks of the sun room not too long ago and today I am sharing one part of those changes.

I was sitting in my chair in here where I blog and I was looking over at this side of the room and decided to swap out the bench that was here with the one in the great room. As you will see soon I have added touches of black in here and I knew this would balance this side of the room.

Above it I hung two roe deer antler trophies and I had Mr. Savvy replace the ugly old light fixture with this cheap one I picked up at Lowes. I know I took a picture of the light that was here before, but can't find it.

I spotted this fixture at Lowes while I was there getting something else and knew it was perfect and for the price I didn't even have to think about it. If I remember correctly it was $39.

I loaded up the bench with a vintage grain sack from my trip to France stuffed with two bed pillows and my Pottery Barn red ticking pillows.

I'm loving this new look on this side of the room.
Other side coming soon.

You can see how I refinished this bench here.

Be sure to return tomorrow for another fab favorite room.

  1. I love thebench and how its colour echoes the one of the light fixture. Even the curtains in your room behind have some red and it's lovely to see them behind the pillow on your bench.

  6. Hey Kim, went to Queen of Hearts the other day, and saw all the cool new booths that are up. I thought some of the things were a bit pricey, but I did do my share of damage. After 2 hours there and walked out with two bags of cute things for our farm house...

  8. Gorgeous bench Kim and I really like the light fixture from Lowes. The antlers are a great addition. Narrow spaces are difficult for me to fill. This looks really good and balanced. A pretty view while you blog.
