New Pillows for the Sun Room

4.26.2014

A few days ago I shared my shopping outing with you at a local antique mall that I love to browse. I showed you a few things that I considered buying including this cute vintage grain sack pillow. Well, you just never know who is reading your blog. I got a facebook message from the creator of these cute pillows.

Martha asked me if I would like to have the pillow if I would share her info for any locals reading my blog and soon she will have an on line shop so y'all can shop too. Why yes, yes I would. Me and pillows just seem to go together. :)

Just look how perfect it is with my other pillows.
For any locals (metro Atlanta) you can find more of Martha's custom pillows from vintage grain sacks at the Queen of Hearts Antique Mall on the aisle called Battery Street in Alpharetta. She also has a booth in Dahlonega at Antiques & Collectibles.

She not only gave me one, but the mate too. She didn't want to split them up since they went together. I placed this one on the bench I shared in yesterday's post.
Martha would love for y'all to like her facebook page Authentica Classics. She also is on instagram.
I will be sure to do another post when her online shop opens, but you can also find out by following her.

If you follow me on instagram then you saw my other new pillows from One Kings Lane.
I saw these in their clearance section last weekend. 20 x 20 with feather/down inserts and only $19.99. Yes please, so I ordered two.

The inserts were a bit thin and small for the covers, but not to worry. I have extras and just grabbed two fuller ones and what a difference that made. Nice and full and fluffy. I don't like a skimpy wimpy pillow.

One more little thing I wanted to show you is this tiny brass yorkie that I found while on our trip at New Orleans. It's a little brass Bailey.

Oh, and I may have gone back and gotten this, too.
Just too good of a deal on this one.

So have y'all found any treasures recently?

It's Saturday! Have a good one!

  8. LOL I bet you can't make it through a week without buying something! For the pillows, I always use a larger insert than my cover, for example a 20x20 insert with an 18 inch cover. I like them full too.

  24. Yes, you went back for the dresser! And did you get the pitch fork, too? I share your love for pillows, and am happy for both you and Martha - what a great way to get her name recognition out there. The grain sack pillow is a great addition to your farmhouse style. Yes, I've gotten some great recent finds. I had a show and tell post ready, but it needs editing after I found some real bargains just this morning! :) Happy weekend!

  25. When I saw the pillow on the first picture, I thought "oh, she went back to get the pillow and the dresser". Then I understood you got the pillow without going back to the shop, which is really great, but I was disappointed about the dresser... Now I'm all hopeful again ;)
