Weekend Shopping

4.20.2014

I hope y'all have been enjoying a wonderful Easter weekend. It was cold and rainy here Friday and Saturday. So on Saturday I decided to get out of the house and do a little hunting.  Off to my favorite antique mall I went. I was surprised how busy it was.  Here are some cool things I saw there. All photos are from my phone.

Cool large metal sign and not a bad price.

Lots of French and English goodness in this booth.

I considered this pillow and I may go back and get it.

Really good price on this rush seat stool for only $35, but it was a bit taller than I wanted.

I am collecting old colanders and I loved the color of this one, but it was a little pricey so I skipped it. It may haunt me and I may have to get it, but not sure.

I looked and looked and looked at this French oil painting. Really good price, but not sure where I can hang it so I skipped it.

Cute jar.

Great old breadboard and a smaller size than my other ones. The bottom is badly eaten by wood worms.

I also considered this old pitch fork made out of one piece of wood. Pretty cool and only $44.

Love this old English chest and I would love to replace the white dresser in the green guest room with this piece. Would much rather have a nice vintage piece than a new piece.

Another cute old painting on board. You should see the back of this it's really old.

This beautiful majolica tray came home with me.

I also had a first happen for me while at the antique mall. A blog reader recognized me and said she reads my blog everyday. I didn't catch her name, but it was so fun meeting her.

Be sure to come back tomorrow as I share some exciting news with you!

  1. Kim, so many goodies. You have better will power than I do. I can't say No and end up hoarding everything.

  12. This place is amazing. I'm not sure I would have resisted the old English dresser. I'm pretty sure it's calling my name, though I have no room ofr it. I'm a little late with blog reading, so I think I didn't have time to wish you a (late) happy Easter!

  15. Oh, Kim, I think I'd go back for the pitchfork and stool - single piece of wood (not to pass up!), and sttols can always be used as risers, stands or, of course, extra seating! Whats the news, tell me all about it!

  16. It was such a hoot the first time a follower ran in to me at a shop on Magazine Street. She was from Austin, TX. Then, a follower ran into J. in the Indianapolis airport. I never knew my little blog was read by so many, and I'd be semi"famous". I adore the support of so many followers, readers, and other bloggers! I am blessed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
