Blink and It Changes

9.14.2014

I picked up some more sunflowers at the grocery store the other day and they are a different variety from the first ones I bought.

I decided to try them out in the confit pots on the mantel.

These pots are actually not intended to be used as vases and also one has a hole in the bottom.

So I grabbed a couple of mason jars I had on hand and they fit inside the confit pots perfectly.

I removed the  crepe myrtle clippings that were starting to dry up and I love the burst of happy color the sunflowers add until I change them again.

Hope y'all have a great Sunday!

  17. Your sunflowers are beautiful! I went to farmers market with our kids yesterday and my 4 year old wanted to buy me one... So precious he is! So I bought one "from him" and it's sitting in my kitchen window sill in my husband's great grandmothers vase. I love the sunshine they add to a room!

  20. You got lucky with the mason jars fitting into your pots! Looks pretty. I bought the orangey-russet sunflowers and it seems they are dyed. Turned the water orange - guess I should have know as I've never seen a field of orange sunflowers!

  25. Those look really nice with the painting, Kim. They pick up the gold in the grass around the dogs. A nice, rich look with the pots.

    1. Lana, I really don't know why. It looks like Google bought feedburner and for some reason there are issues.
