Last Saturday I posted that I was headed to the pumpkin farm. Well, we drove right past it and decided to check out Hillcrest Orchards that was just down the road.
It was a beautiful crisp fall day and it was rather breezy. This is the true color of the sky that day.
This is the line we had to stand it to buy our tickets to get in.
These are all the activities they offer. I thought about milking a cow for about half a second.
They had all kinds of apples. We paid $7 each to get in, but decided not to pick our own apples for an extra sum of money.
There were lots of apples rotting and they had signs not to pick the fallen apples up, They save them as feed for the animals.
They offered wagon rides. One is pulled by mules and the others by a tractor.
We took the tractor ride.
The wagon was full and then everyone got off at the petting zoo except for my daughter, Leila and me. The stinch from the petting zoo was just too much.
After the others got off it made the rest of our ride a lot bumpier and fun. Leila making her typical face when having her picture taken.
After walking around a bit we stopped in the shop and bought some apples.
They sure are good.
On the way home we were going to stop back by the pumpkin farm, but it was so crazy crowded we just drove right past it again.
Now I still need pumpkins.
Looks like I need another trip back or I will just shop locally for some.
It has gotten warmer and warmer since that day and I sure am ready for it to feel like fall again.
I hope y'all have a glorious fall weekend!
