Where Did You Get?

11.23.2014

I wanted to answer some more questions that I get asked time and time again. The most asked question is where did I get the red checked fabric from or where can I purchase the red checked curtains? Obviously I love them since they are in three rooms of my house and I chuckle when I get asked where is the fabric from because this chick doesn't sew. I really wish I did enjoy sewing, but it makes me break out in a sweat. I'd rather paint.

The red checked curtains can be found at countrycurtains.com and are very reasonably priced. When I just checked the web site I noticed they have added several new colors like chocolate, navy blue, and I see they brought back sage. If you don't like them unlined you can pay more and have them lined.

Ever since I shared the new guest room I have been getting asked more where can the cow pillow be purchased?
I'm afraid I don't know. I bought it from the seller at the High Point furniture market in 2012 as a cash and carry purchase.

I was not compensated in any way to share Country Curtains with you just sharing where I found my curtains.

Post Edit: Well, y'all are in luck if you have big pockets. Sarah from the blog Hyacinths For The Soul did some research and found the pillow sold online HERE. I was lucky to pay wholesale.
I sure am glad I paid wholesale. :)

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

  1. I love Country Curtains, too. I have ordered their curtains for nearly every one of my houses...since the late 1970's! Every single time they have been well made and a perfect fit. Thanks for all the inspiring ideas, your house is beautiful!

  4. I still have a question about these curtains. your curtains look really "white" but on the website they look more off white. Can you please tell me about the background color? Thanks, Donna

    1. Donna, they are a softer white not a stark white. Hope that helps.

  7. Kim, your red check curtains make me smile. I like that you've used them in different rooms. They are winners!
I sent you an email tonight. I found a source for the aubusson tapestry cow pillow. I've long admired this pillow and have been searching for it. Now I just need to save my $$$ so I can get one for myself. '-)

  10. I've looked at your living room pinned on Instagram SO many times, and am delighted by those red check curtains everytime. I found 60×84 heavyweight red check tablecloths for $4.84 a piece at Steinmart last week, so I've now hung them from curtain clips in my guest room as well. They are SO cheerful, and we're SO inexpensive!!!

  13. I still haven't learned to sew on a sewing machine so I don't yet know if I'd like it or not. Those checked curtains are so cute. It's nice that they're offered in other colors too.

  19. Thank you Kim. For taking the Time to visit m'y place.
As for the cow pillow it's a wonderful accent piece, and my mother who still loves her reds all these years later would love your pillow as well....her home is full of Red, as for my taste I have never been a big fan of it, but I really love it in anyone's home that does it well, and you really tie in those reds perfectly. So much so that you really nudge me in the direction to adding some colour to my French rustic Home.

I love how perfect everything is, I feel I am shopping the "Pierre Deux" showroom or catalog. Everything is so perfectly French country and I cannot find a thing with it as a designer that I would replace, right down to the use of the rattan Kooboo chairs. Your country French home feels right at home on the farm.

I am so looking forward to the holiday inspiration here. A simple green tree trimmed in cottons will bring in a Joyeux Noël

    See you soon.

  20. KIm, I love your red and white checked curtains and I have thought about ordering some for our porch. Checks and I go way back. I had some hunter green checked curtains and matching window seat cushion in a house during the 80's. Remember hunter green? Yes, I thought you would! :)

  24. I found some similar red check fabric online, ordered it and crossed my fingers. It sews beautifully and has a real nice drape. I put it in the family room and the kitchen windows. Thanks for the inspiration. P.S. I'd rather sew than paint so maybe we could barter!

  25. I love, love, LOVE your buffalo checks. They just feed my soul! Could you please tell me if that is only one pair per window? I'm seriously thinking about ordering and I don't want to skimp. And btw, we're neighbors. I live about 60 miles from you, so if you ever do a tour of homes, please post it so I can be sure and come.

    1. Pam, yes, just one pair. They are quite wide. My home has never been part of a tour, but sweet of you to ask.

    1. That is an old Pottery Barn duvet they no longer carry. Not sure what it was called.
