Christmas Sunroom 2014

12.15.2014

I always love to decorate the sun room for Christmas. This is the room I can have fun in. I wasn't sure how I would decorate it this year with the new color scheme, but shopping at several HomeGoods, when I was at Shirley's a couple months ago, had me buying some mighty cute pillows that started the whole thing.

I mean how could I not get this cute deer silhouette pillow in the perfect colors?

Or this cute skate pillow in the opposite look?

Next thing I know Shirley is placing this one in my hands, too.

It is perfect isn't it? For only $19.99 each including the feather insert they were a steal.

Then while shopping at my local HomeGoods a few weeks ago I found this wonderful deer pulling a sleigh and knew it had to come home with me, too. It was such a bargain. Another lady at the store saw it in my cart and said she loved it and I told her there was another one and she quickly snatched it up.

This is quite large. I had originally planned on using it as a centerpiece on my dining room table, but it fits better in here.

He came with a tiny red scarf, but I replaced it with this fabulous red ticking ribbon I found in Raleigh while out shopping again with Shirley.

I filled the sleigh with some faux holly garland for a pop of color.

My little table top tree was placed in the vintage olive bucket again. I flocked the tree this year with the spray that I shared in this post and wrapped it in the red ticking ribbon.

My favorite vintage looking snowman stands in front.

My other cute snowman sits on this end table.

The little table between the two wicker chairs holds an old Santa collection.

Something else I found recently at HomeGoods was a package of red and white bells in different sizes. I started not to get them, but for only twelve dollars, why not? I filled this glass jar with them.

On top of the tv cabinet I placed this jar filled with faux snow and another small snowman and some tiny trees like I did last year.

This sounded like a sponsored post for HomeGoods didn't it? Nope, just sharing where I found the cute pieces.

  4. Kim...I had such fun looking at your sun room pictures from the present, back through the past years...and it was impossible to pick a favorite year, because I loved them all! There were neat things about each year. I must say they were all enchanting...and cheerful...and happy settings and I kept thinking how fun it would be to have a sun room to decorate!!! :) (And my other thought was...I wish we had a HomeGoods store here in the Wichita area!) I ~~LOVE~~ following your blog!!!!!

    Merry Christmas!

    1. Oh, Jane have fun. Our stores still have a bit of Christmas stuff, but nothing like a couple months ago. All the pillows are gone around here. I live only ten minutes from one store and thirty from a better bigger one. It's a dangerous thing.
