Traditional Red and Green Guest Room

12.14.2014

I have three guest rooms and the master ready to show off their Christmas cheer. Today we are starting with the newest guest room that was Recently Transformed from a very ugly hoarding room. Since I was already using this red duvet in here I just added some more traditional red and green accents.

The bed sits at the far end from the window on the front of the house and the morning sun was making the white light on the front of the bench. There is no good time to shoot pictures in here.

The bedding was changed up a bit. I pulled out the green ticking stripe flannel sheets. There is just something cozy about flannel sheets on a cold night.

I added a vintage quilt as an extra layer. The Christmas pillow is one I have had from Pottery Barn.

I recently bought the red knit fur trimmed pillow covers from PB at 50% off. I sure wish y'all could feel these. They feel so good.

Part of my nutcracker collection is gathered together on a white platter.

The lamps were switched out from the white ones to these brass ones that were in another guest room.

Oh, and this new bench/ottoman. Well, I purchased this with mostly credits I had with Joss & Main and wanted to use it in the sunroom as a coffee table. I measured and thought it would be a good size. Then it arrived last week and nope, way too small for the sunroom. Glad it works as a bench at the end of the bed. Not a total loss.

Happy Sunday!

  15. I bought this bench several months ago thinking it would go well in a bathroom upstairs but I just couldn't make it work... threw a couple of faux animal print pillows on it and set it in a little alcove downstairs under a gallery wall... love it there. And I love those red pillows!

  16. Purchased the PB Santa sleigh and a fur trim pillow cover too for the season. I'm addicted to pillow covers. Your guest room mirrors a joyful Christmas. The colors of the nutcrackers blend so well with the red and green. Your guests are in for a treat.
