Changes and a New Lens

2.12.2015

For some reason I have been moving and swapping things around in the house this week. Oh, don't laugh. I decided to move the French table that was in the center of the sitting room to a guest room and I put the tufted bench that was in the guest room at the end of the bed in the sitting room. Got it?  And since I am trying out a new camera lens I just snapped away at some things in this room.

I placed a rattan tray on the tufted bench and filled it with a few old books topped with one of my magnifying glasses, a brass horse, and a pot of ivy. Just things I had on hand.

There's my photo bomber.

I use a Canon Rebel 3ti and I ordered the 50mm lens so I could take these cool shots.

This is one of my favorite magnifying glasses. I love the details on the handle.

The cutest of all, of course, is my girl Bailey.

I think I love this new lens and don't know why I didn't buy it sooner.

There is something else new in here that I shared on instagram awhile ago and I will share here soon.
It's the little things that make a difference.

Happy Thursday

  2. I love your magnifying glass too...and, of course, Bailey! I'm still learning to use my 50mm but it has made a world of difference for me. Your photos are always gorgeous but this will give you a chance to do some fun "focus" shots. Hugs, Kimberly

  24. I like the bench in there. One day, I hope to get a nicer camera. I could've gotten one if we weren't doing our new shower enclosure. Jimmy gave me a choice, but the shower enclosure won! LOL! Your pics look good with the new lens.
