We're Getting There

3.10.2015

If you follow me on instagram then you saw peeks of the huge mess I've been living with for the past couple weeks. This guest bath project has not been an easy one. We have gotten a lot done even with the challenges we have faced or I should say Mr. Savvy has faced.

We actually cleaned out several things we weren't using anymore, but still have all this.

Mr. Savvy worked hard all weekend.

Walls prepped for paint which I will be doing today.

A new light replaced the old one that never worked correctly. The other one would go off after a few minutes and then come back on over and over. I know my guests will be happy to have a new light.
This light was another thing that didn't go in easily. Hubby had to get in the attic over this tub to get the old can out and then the hole on the tub had to be cut larger for the new light. Then it did not want to go in easy. Nothing has been easy. Later this week I will be more than ready to say bye bye to this brown color.

Yesterday was better than Christmas when the faucet was delivered after a snow delay with UPS.

And the light fixture showed up a day early!

So this project drags on, but we're getting there!

I hope to see y'all tonight for Wow Us Wednesdays to share your projects or anything else.

  12. Love the new faucet!! I had a thought about shower curtain......how about a red ticking stripe or black?? Ticking is very French or farmhouse style. Country Curtains carries them and they have long sizes too. They would coordinate nicely with the Buffalo checks in the bedroom. Just saying......

  13. I found the post about your Wesley Allen iron bed, but not this one. Would you share? Wish I had known how to paint over wallpaper before I tried to remove it -- a hard (and not excellent) job!

    2. When I read the following, I wasn't thinking you already got rid of it. I just wondered who made the one next to your bathroom project - not to literally share.

Our Wesley Allen Iron bed has been with us for about 16 years now. I keep thinking that I want a change and either get a padded headboard or a beautiful wood French style headboard,

    3. Okay the other post you referred to was a room of another blogger who had the Wesley allen bed. My bed in the guest room is not a Wesley Allen. It is a cheap metal bed found on Overstock.com.
