On The Other Side

7.10.2015

On Monday I shared my sun room decorated for summer, but didn't share the other side of the room. I don't show this side of the sun room much since it's the side with the television and a bench for extra seating if needed.

The pillows on this side coordinate with the rest of the room. These change out just as often as the ones on the sofa and chairs.

Flag pillow is from Pottery Barn, plaid monogrammed is from Ballard's and the grain sack one was purchased on Etsy. All of these are old.

This is the tv I watch, or mostly just listen to, while I blog. I bought this pine cabinet years ago and have painted it a few times....of course. The large basket is full of design books. I think I need to go through those and thin them out. I always get asked about the lamp so I will tell you I found it at the Pottery Barn outlet a few years ago.

To make my tv at the proper height I placed it on two stacked cola crates turned upside down. This worked out to be just the right height. Not sure what made me think of using those, but glad I did.

So that's the side not shown very much.

If you missed the other side you can see it here.

Have a fabulous weekend!

  2. I love that you showed the side not shown often! I have one of those in most rooms too... lol. Yours looks great. You should go ahead and show it all the time... :-) I think I just bought that bench - is it from Ballard? Did you paint it? I bought the whitewashed one for the patio and it looks like it has exactly the same details, but I love the color of yours.

  8. Everything looks so cute. I sure remember the days of wooden coke cases. My grandfather had a farm store and mill. Stacked next to his coke machine were stacks and stacks of cokes in bottles, or the empties, because the coke man exchanged them. I am thinking a few pennies for each returned bottle. Farmers would put a quarter in the machine and get an icy cold drink! Then it moved up to a quarter and a nickle, then a dime. Some farmers took that icy cold coke with them in the pickup to drive on to their next stop. I spent summers with my grandparents...so I hug around his mill a lot. Who knew then that all of those grain sacks would become popular! Wish I had a few now. Ha!
