Yes, we have very happy feet! The kind folks at Mohawk sent me a custom sized SmartStrand Forever Clean bound carpet for my sun room and I love it!
For over the last year I have had a very scratchy sisal rug in the sunroom and my granddaughter wouldn't even walk on it barefooted. She would wear socks or keep her shoes on and complained about the scratchy rug. She loves this new SmartStrand bound carpet and even danced around all over it when I kept her the other day. Don't you just love what's left of her nail polish?
There are so many styles and colors in this carpet that I had a very hard time making my choice. I went to a local carpet and flooring store to see the samples in person instead of choosing from my laptop screen.
I chose Easton Trace in Skylark and could not be happier with it. The subtle pattern works well with the other patterns in the room.
Here are the key points about this fabulous carpet:
• We call it the toughest, easiest to clean carpet on the planet
• Has Nanoloc spill protection for quick and easy spill cleanup (a new nanotechnology to protect the fiber)
• The only carpet with built-in stain and soil resistance that never wears or washes off
• Most stains clean up with water or a little mild detergent, no harsh cleaning chemicals needed
• Environmentally friendly because it’s made in part from renewable resources
Of course this new bound carpet caused a few changes in the sun room.
I will be back with those soon.
Right now my happy feet and I are just going to enjoy this wonderfully silky soft carpet.
Thank you, Mohawk Carpet for making my feet happy and my sun room beautiful!
Here is a close up of the old scratchy sisal rug. It even looks rough and it was.
Bye bye scratchy rug.

I love the textured look of the rug, Kim. I have been looking for a new family room rug since we tore out our carpeting and put in hardwood. I will definitely check these out! Have a great week!

I have some type natural fiber in our sunroom, not sure if it is seagrass, sisal or what, but it is not scratchy. Has worn like iron but I'm thinking of replacing with a rug similar to the one you got for your deck - in the taupe color. I think Nanna (what does she call you?) should have given Miss Lela a pedicure! LOL Have a wundy week!!!
ReplyDeletetina, she calls me Grammy. I'm not good at pedicures.
DeleteLove the pattern! I always liked the look of sisal but not the feel! I am with your granddaughter on that one!
ReplyDeleteGreat pattern love the rug...looks great with your decor
ReplyDeleteLooks great!!...and I am sure that Leila is doing her happy dance with her happy feet on the new carpet!
ReplyDeleteI've had Mohawk Smart Strand carpet for about 8 years and bought it for all the reasons above....love it. I could never stand sisal either and of course it would never survive my cat's claws! I like the pattern you chose. Lucky you!
ReplyDeleteHi Kim,
ReplyDeleteI have been on the hunt for a area rug for a long time for my living room. I am going to check this out.
Thanks.
Have a great week.
Kris
It looks so soft and inviting! Enjoy! ~julie
ReplyDeleteIt looks wonderful so happy for you and Leila. Granddaughters opinions are important, i have one that is 6 and she always has one.lol I will try to be patient and wait to see what else you have done in your sun room.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tip on the sisal carpet. We have been talking about adding an area rug to the living room and sisal was one option. I guess it's a no now.
ReplyDeleteSounds and looks good! I'll keep that type of rug in mind next time I need one! Cutee toes!
ReplyDeleteI thought about a sisal for our great room...but worried about the scratchy factor. Glad to hear your review. And I really like the pattern and color you chose. Years ago I had a couple of rugs custom sized and bound. I liked them. Sheila
ReplyDeleteHi Kimmie! Oh, I love your new rug! Looks great and I love the pattern in it. I also love those little girl toes! :)
ReplyDeleteHope you're doing well.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
It looks terrific, Kim! I bet Leila is VERY happy dancing around on the new carpet:):)
ReplyDeleteCute toes! That rug does look comfy and I like the subtle pattern too. Looking forward to the sunroom changes.

I appreciate the heads-up on the carpet. I'm so over natural fiber area rugs--too much shedding and really scritchy underfoot. Have been looking for something soft and casual, but haven't had any luck. Mohawk's Forever Clean concept has definitely peaked my curiosity. It looks beautiful and if it lives up to its claims, it will be well worth the investment!
ReplyDeleteI love sisal and love the feel of it too.
ReplyDeleteI does look very soft!
ReplyDeleteThis is so cute! I recently bought a beautiful vintage carpet at Doris Leslie Blau and my youngest just loves to take a nap at it!
