From the Sun Room to the Guest Room

11.15.2015

When I shared the new pillows and sign in the sun room the other day I told y'all the blue plaid pillows that were formerly in the sun room had moved to a new spot. The other perfect place is in the farmhouse style guest room where I have lots of fun with color and mixing patterns.

This is the way it looked last time I shared it dressed for fall and soon it will change again for Christmas.

I replaced the plaid euro shams with the matelasse shams that I have had. Then added the blue plaid pillows, a black striped pillow and then a little grain sack looking pillow that I bought from French Laundry Home at the country living fair.

All the patterns and colors work together and with the color in the art.

The Antiques sign used to hang in the sun room where I replaced it with the new sign.

Another colorful quilt is folded on the bench for my guests to grab for a chilly afternoon nap.

I can't wait to start adding some Christmas cheer in here.

Enjoy your Sunday!

  8. You could put anything with that cow picture and it would look good. That is really such a great grounding point for the room! It is always fun to see what changes you have made and just switching a few accessories makes such a big change in a room. I am about ready to start on this library section here, too. I gave my favorite picture to my daughter (that I had in here) and now wish I dared ask for it back. lol What WAS I thinking? lol

Hope you have a great night-xo Diana

  11. I love this room! I love the way you use color because it gets kind of boring seeing white, white, white everywhere. I love neautrals but it's nice to add some color too.
