December Kitchen

12.28.2015

I thought I would share how the kitchen has been decorated this month and I'm not calling it my Christmas kitchen, but my December kitchen. I didn't change much, but just changed out some things in the open shelving and added some cocoa fixings and cute mugs when the mood for hot chocolate strikes. It's actually too hot for hot chocolate these days. Also some Christmas cookie jars that I have had for many years are out and filled with Christmas cookies.

I finally bought a mug tree and added some fun mugs from different stores.

How about a mug of hot chocolate with peppermint? This is really good. I also have my hot tea and smoothie additions set up here.

A few Leland cypress sprigs and red berries are tucked in a new market bag.

Frosty the snowman cookie jar used to play the tune Frosty the Snowman when the lid is lifted, but the batteries finally gave out. I guess I should go get some more, but sometimes the tune is annoying if the lid is getting lifted often.

This tree cookie jar is very old, too and it still plays Jingle Bells when the lid is lifted.

There are some fresh pears to grab to counteract eating too many goodies

and a jar of almonds, too.

I placed my red mixing bowls, holiday bowls, and plates in the open shelving to add some holiday cheer.

Can y'all believe the year is almost over?

Have a fabulous week!

    1. Michelle, I bought the hooks years ago on vacation in Quebec, Canada. The rack on the end of the island is from Ikea. Thanks
