Farmhouse Christmas Guest Room

12.14.2015

The sun room is probably my favorite room, but this is my other favorite room
to decorate. This room is full of color, pattern mixing and whimsy.

Come on in!

I'm loving the mix of plaids and stripes.
It just adds to the coziness of the room.

The colors go well with my giant cow canvas. It's all about the moo cow.

The blue plaid pillows are from HomeGoods, the merry and bright pillow
was found at the Country Living Fair and the buffalo plaid pillow is available
HERE. I love that buffalo plaid pillow! I'm waiting for another one to arrive.

I filled the vintage apple picking bucket with ornaments
 we have had for years.

I added the bottle brush wreaths to the bed again with gingham
ribbon and I attached the little clip on cardinal.

I still love this cute pillow from last year.

A tiny tree tucked in an enamelware pot and wrapped in ticking ribbon
 saved from last year.

This is another cute little painting I got from Minted framed in barn wood.
I can use it all winter.

Over sized stocking hangs on the armoire.

A stack of comfy old quilts are close by for those chilly days
when my guests may need a nap.

I had this grain sack stocking in my hand and stuck it on this
old pitch fork and left it.

Soon this room will be enjoyed by family that will be here for Christmas.

Have a fabulous and merry week!

  12. Hi Kim, I can see why this room would be your next to favorite to decorate at Christmas. I would love to be a holiday guest here and wake Christmas morning to jolly Saint Nick.
It's so funny how other times of year this room is just wonderful country French with a modern country feel. Now it has transformed itself into Christmas B&B feel and I am sure you keep returning to this room to tweak things here and there.

I need to go back and see your older postings that I have missed out on. Plus your red armoire says it all, I would most likely have the movers move that piece out into my from room for the holidays and back after New Years, so makes me wish I had colour at this point, or bring in a bit for seasons like these. It really is a merry merry home.

Merry Christmas to you and yours.

    Xx
