A couple days ago I shared my antiquing finds from my recent trip to a local antique mall with my mom and sister. There were a couple things there that I passed up, but they just kept haunting me. Have you had that happen to you? So I have gone back twice in the past few days and I took a few pictures.
I thought this vendor had left the store, but he had just moved to a new booth. He always has the best stuff, but most of his prices are more than I want to dish out. I love the pillow, but it's over $200 and there are two of them. Gosh, I didn't even see the blue striped grain sack. Funny I see things in pictures I take that I didn't see in person.
I always look high and look low for those pieces that may not be in eye's sight. I thought of my friend Shannon of Fox Hollow Cottage when I spied this crate.
Beautiful French enamelware pitchers. Hmmm, I may need to go back again. I could use another one of these.
I'm on the hunt for a smaller lamp and this one was cute.
This old alabaster one was pretty.
This custom pillow is one I had my eyes on and still did not buy it. It would work well in the great room.
Remember my old trapper's basket I bought last year? I only paid $55 for it.
Well, look at the price of this one. Wow!
This is a gorgeous piece.
And this is a piece I went back for not once, but two more times because I just couldn't make up my mind and I waited too late. It was gone. It was large and chippy and I could have used it in several areas. Oh, well, you snooze you lose.
My last visit here I had not one, but two ladies ask me if I was Kim from Savvy Southern Style. Why yes, yes I am. That was the first time that has happened.
We are expecting a wet weekend, but I hope yours is fabulous!
