Meet Henry

3.03.2016

Last Monday my new coffee table was delivered. It was time to replace the one I ordered in North Carolina twenty one years ago when we built our home. I had painted it a few times over the last couple years and now it has moved on to a new home.

Meet Henry. That is what it is called at Ethan Allen .

I didn't get to meet Henry before I purchased him. They didn't have him on the floor when I purchased the sofa. I looked around and they had nothing I liked so my designer pulled up some more tables on a giant screen for me to look at and when I saw Henry I knew he was the right one.

After choosing the style then I had to choose the finish and I chose this mushroom color with a white glaze. You can barely see the glaze. When the guys uncovered the table I was like "yes" I got it right.

I love the size, the drawers for storage, the planked top and the short fat legs.

More of the white glaze shows in this shot.

So for now he sits naked because I'm not sure how I'm going to style him. I will just let it come to me in time.
I think once I get the other furniture in here and the new rug I may get my creative mojo going.

I will be enjoying a  birthday lunch for my mom, who turned 83 years young last week, with my sister today and I get to see my sister's new stuff like furniture, appliances and tile.

Have a good one!

You can see the old coffee table here if you need a reminder.

Be sure to follow along on instagram where I share things before they hit the blog.

  14. I wasn't sure how I felt about Henry when I first saw "him" but the more you showed him, the more I liked him and agree you got it right! I have an old iron and glass coffee table that's about 20 years old but it's huge and holds a lot of "stuff" so while I'd love to replace it, for now it stays.

I can't wait to see your new furniture, I know you can't wait either!

P.S. Happy birthday to your mom. Mine will be 96 in June!
