More Cashiers Showhouse

Today we are going in the dining room and upstairs in the Cashiers showhouse that I have been sharing.

The dining room was not formal and stuffy, but very relaxed being filled with antiques, mismatched chairs and a green and white color scheme.

On the table was a simple centerpiece of greenery and some pretty monogrammed linens at the place settings.

Matching black sideboards are on each side of the window. Of course I was interested in the lidded basket underneath, but it was over my budget.

Much better photo from here.

Let's head upstairs.

Pretty bedroom in serene colors. Loved the four poster bed.

These chairs were quite large.

Cute bunny paper in one of the bathrooms.

This room made a nice sitting room with darker colors.

At the end of the hall is a small outdoor porch.

For the tour it was decorated and ready for a garden party.

This is a more modern style guest room.

Another steep set of stairs goes up to the third floor. Every inch of this house was used.

Artwork was even attached to the slanted wall.

At the top of the stairs on the second floor the walls were decorated with wonderful antique horse paintings.

Hope you enjoyed the tour.
There was another surprise space on the property that I will share soon.

Have an awesome week!

  1. Pretty Dining Room, but yours is prettier to me. Thanks for the tour. I know you had fun.

  2. Really interesting to see this. Some of the choices are surprising, but they work.

  3. Pretty sure the bunny wallpaper is by an artist named Hunt Slonem - lots of designers are using his original paintings in their interiors these days.

  4. I love the sitting room the best. I think that was a large bees nest on the mantle? I know you loved the huge demijohn! I also loved the large turtle shell, wish I could find a large one. I have been celebrating all weekend, have to get back to normal now:):)

  5. It certainly was an extraordinary home....that dining room was one of my fav rooms!! ... That bunny paper by the famed artist was so much fun to see in the bathroom there!

  6. Love just abut everything - for some reason the green lamp in the dining room was odd for me! Love the bunny wallpaper and curtain as well.
All the shabby chic and farmhouse decor gets repetitive; something like this is a reality check in decorating props!

  8. Hi Kim
Thanks so much for this tour. Such a lovely house - the bunny paper was a surprise! And the back porch was just divine!
