Fall Porch Ideas Big and Small

9.02.2016

Are you ready for the long holiday weekend? I am having a hard time believing it's September already! I say once September hits the fall decorating can begin regardless that it may still be hot outside. We are actually expecting lower temps and humidity this weekend and I am so ready for it.

This is my friend Shirley's front porch from last fall. She has a nice big southern porch to fill with fall goodies.

Her porch is always welcoming as she changes it seasonably and for holidays.

I, on the other hand, have a tiny stoop, but even when you don't have a nice big porch you can still make that tiny porch look good for fall. I'm guest posting over on Shirley's blog since she had some surgery on her hand and can't type very well. I'm sharing some ideas for decorating that small porch or you can even use some of the ideas for a larger one.
So pop on over to Housepitality Designs and you may find some new ideas.

Wishing y'all a wonderful holiday weekend!

  1. So pretty! I always loved chrysanthemums--my grandma had a garden full of them--but when I went to plant some here, my husband informed me they were appropriate only for cemeteries. It's true that around Nov. 1, shops of all kinds sell them in France. One of those cultural quirks, I guess.
School started today here but I am still in summer mode. Fall can wait, however pretty it may be!
