The farmhouse style guest room has a new look for the fall season with a few updates You can see the way it looked before here. I loved the white bedding, but there is something about adding more texture and color that makes the room feel cozier for the cooler days ahead. This room is the one I love to change up just to create a new feeling and have fun with. I'm always experimenting.
Meet Mango. Yep, that is the name he was given on the Ballard Designs site and I think it's perfect.
When I saw Mango I knew I had to have him. I actually thought he would go in the breakfast room, but the size I chose is wrong for that wall. I could have ordered a larger size, but the price really jumped. So I had to find him a new spot and when I hung him here the angels sang.
These shams with the navy ticking and cute ruffles are turned backwards so the buttons can show. They are much more interesting this way instead of the plain front.
The colorful pillow in front was in a basket at Pottery Barn all by itself and I had never seen this one before.
I love how the colors in the pillow go perfectly with this quilt that I already had.
This is the reverse side of the quilt. I'll have to switch to this side some time. The navy blue quilt is from Pottery Barn and I purchased it when it was on sale plus they offered free shipping. I also had some discount rewards coupons to use so I spent very little on it.
Little ruffles along the bed skirt.
With just a few changes and the room is cozy and ready for the cooler season.
I hope this has given you some ideas to change up and cozy up those bedrooms.
Happy Columbus Day and have an awesome week!
