Fun Colors in the November Sunroom

11.07.2016

My sunroom is probably changed more frequently than any other room in my home because I basically live in here. This is my office and where I watch television. I don't have the typical office with a desk and chair and filing cabinets. I use a laptop and the tall chest between the chairs is my filing cabinet and where I keep my camera equipment. Recently I added a bit more pattern and color in here just by borrowing from other rooms and my stash.

I layered the blue plaid rug over the large rug that stays in here.

I decided to paint the bench with Lucketts Green milk paint to add a pop of color in here. It was a gray before.

Pillows were changed out from other rooms and the vintage quilt added to the back for another layer.

The quilt, floral pillow and bench all have the same color green.

I brought the blue bench back in in place of the coffee table. I like this bench better in here.

Thank goodness you can't see the stacks of laundry folded right outside this shot.

    1. It is the Pottery Barn basic sofa with a new slipcover. It is probably 15 years old. Still very comfy.

  17. I think every room should have a bit of green. It is for all seasons, and it has a calm---yet energizing effect. Green is growth, and we need a bit of that, for sure. Love the new look, even though I'm a blue/white freak from way back. Grins, pretty post, Sandi

  20. I love the botanical Pottery Barn pillow. I got the lumbar pillow last spring. My daughter got the duvet. It is one of my favorite collections done by them. I love the green on the bench. The trunk as a side table is wonderful too. There is so much to love about this room. It's always a treat to see.

  21. I really love your room. I think it was cool having a small chest in their as well. Shows that you don't always have certain things in your bedroom. Love the green love seat too. The colors are great together.
