Kitchen Progress

11.18.2016

As I mentioned in this post we are doing a small remodel of our kitchen and I thought I would share what we have accomplished so far.

Mr.Savvy hung one of the pendants temporarily so we could see if it was going to look right and yes yes it does. I'm seriously thrilled with them! There will be another one over the sink.

My house is a wreck because stuff has been placed in the sunroom, and great room and I am so over it. The carpenters have been delayed, of course, but they said they will be here this weekend.

Crap is everywhere.

There has been lots of painting going on. The peninsula is finished and the other cabinets have all been primed and painted. After the carpenters do their part then we will be back to priming and painting the new additions.

I painted the first coat on the ceiling yesterday and Mr. Savvy will paint the second coat today.
Oh, and don't look at my messy unorganized cabinets. One of the carpenters has our doors and is painting them in his shop since he also does cabinetry.

I can't wait to see them show up this weekend and get this job finished!!

I think I need a break today and will head to the flea market.
Y'all have a good one!

  1. Going to the flea market is the perfect thing to do when you're in the middle of a messy project...definitely what I would do! Excited to see your completed kitchen project. I know it'll be gorgeous.

  6. Kim it is looking so great. I know it is going to be the crown jewel of your home. The worse part is the mess everywhere but it will be so worth it. I cannot wait to see it all done.
    Happy Friday.

  10. The kitchen is looking wonderful. I wanted to tell you about a former blog in regard to how to fix burnt out Christmas tree lights. I did not even realize there was a fuse on the connecting lines. A large string on the bottom of the tree was out and I now know how to fix this problem up when I go to put up the tree. Thank you so very much. Betty from Ontario,Canada

  14. You have a beautiful kitchen and great taste in everything you do. May I make one suggestion that would make a big difference visually? A counter-depth refrigerator. You would be surprised at how much more spacious your kitchen will look.

    1. I explained in the last kitchen post that that is one of the main makeovers happening. Our fridge is counter depth. It just needs to be framed in.
