Thank You and A Christmas Tour

11.26.2016

Did everyone have a good Thanksgiving? Our plans were quite drastically changed after getting the phone call about my dad on Monday. Thank you all so much for all the prayers posted on facebook, instagram, my blog and a few personal emails. They all mean the world to me. As many of you know he did pass away after the family decided to take him off of life support. He went very quickly and peacefully. We were hoping to be back home by now, but there are some legalities to take care of on Monday, since the law firms are closed for the holiday, so we are having to stay longer. My house is a total wreck from the kitchen reno and I have not begun Christmas decorating, but these things will have to wait. I'm sure everything will come together after we get home.

Today I dug into my archives to share my home tour decked for Christmas in 2013. Be sure to click on my link below and check out what my friends are sharing, too this week.

  15. Kim, I'm so sorry about your father. Growing up we think our parents will live forever. It's strange when they're no longer here. He raised an amazingly talented daughter and I hope you find comfort in your memories of him.

  24. Dear Kim, Sending lots of hugs, love and prayers to you and yours during this difficult time, especially with the holidays upon us. It is such a relief that his passing was peaceful and quick, but it doesn't help those left behind. My fil passed two days before Christmas 25 yrs ago. It was a sad Christmas.

  27. I'm so sorry to hear about your dad's passing, Kim. Even though it's often a blessing as was the case with my dad not quite 2 years ago, the passing of a loved one leaves a hole in our hearts and family. Trust you are experiencing the peace and comfort that passeth all understanding that our heavenly Father gives.
