A French Style Christmas Bedroom

12.16.2016

Pretty blues and whites with touches of Christmas decor and a French flair welcome guests.

Come on in!

I wasn't sure how I was going to decorate this room and then I saw this pillow on Marian's blog and had to have one. She is such a good artist amongst all her other creative talents.

Her rocking horse was her inspiration and she just added a wreath. It's so perfect on the bed in this room. The other pillows were already on the bed. I just swapped out the front one.

Tiny trees in a basket again as I have done in other rooms this year.

One tiny bird house with blue birds adorns the tree.

Gift boxes I used in the master last year sit atop the nightstand.

And I'm not going to mention something else new in here and see who notices.

A group of vintage bottlebrush trees and a sheep adorn the drum table by the bed.

I found these trees a few years ago in an antique mall and the wooden sheep is the same on that sits on this table all the time that I bought at the Country Living Fair a few years ago.

An extra quilt is rolled up on the bench for my guests to grab if needed. The guests will be my grandchildren that are coming for Christmas.

I swapped out the art above the chest again and added a simple stocking.

So glad to pull this painting out of storage.

This is another cute new pillow by Marian a.k.a. Miss Mustard Seed. It looks like a quilt piece doesn't it? It's actually printed that way. She sells these on Society 6. The grain sack pillow is real and I have had it for a bit. The tall white chair that was here before has been moved. The chair shuffle took place after getting the new leather chair in the sunroom. Did you see it yesterday?

I still have more to share and I hope y'all come back!

 Have an awesome weekend!

  8. Hi Kim, Love the room.
Perhaps in a future post you could share with us the manner in which you store your "extra" art.
Do you have a special closet?
    Thanks and Merry Christmas!

    1. I have shared in the past my overflowing bonus room. Plus I have shelves in a storage room off the garage. Then there are stuffed closets, chests, baskets, etc. Lots of cleaning out coming next month.

  10. What a pretty room. I am really liking the mini trees you have sprinkled about the house. Just a little touch of Christmas that sets the tone for simplicity. Cute pillows- both from Marion. I saw that horse one on another blog, too, earlier this week. They had also ordered it from Marion.

Looks like you are ready for Christmas at your house. xo Diana
