Christmas Farmhouse Style Sunroom

12.15.2016

My favorite room to decorate for Christmas, besides the cabin style guest room I did this year, is my sunroom. This is my room a.k.a. hangout and it's the room I can let loose in with the decor. That means more color, pattern and whimsy. So get comfy because I have lots of pictures to share.

A vintage grocery basket is filled with colorful ornaments that weren't hung on a tree this year.

I still love the addition of blue in here and especially the old rickety bench used as a coffee table.

Cozy throws, grain sacks, fun pillows and decor add to the farmhouse style I love in this room.

Since I didn't drag out the tabletop trees I just filled my vintage fruit picking bucket with my other small trees that were easy to get to in the storage room.

Just a few small ornaments and one cardinal adorn the trees.

A tiny wreath of silver bells hangs from the cow. It's actually an old napkin ring.

Cute pillows are a must.

Tartan is a must, too.

More colorful pillows on the bench.

This leather chair is Merry Christmas to me......from me. It was 50% off at Pottery Barn and I have been needing a comfortable chair to sit in since I work in here and sit a lot. The size of this chair is just right.

The salvage metal fencing piece, that was my pot rack before the kitchen reno, which will be shared soon, is perfect for hanging a few grain sack stockings. A lighted tree sits in an old clay pot.

Miss Bailey says oh good she's finally through taking pictures.

Hope you enjoyed my colorful farmhouse style sunroom decked for Christmas.

Still more to come and not much time left to share. Yikes!

  1. You did it again...decked the sunroom for Christmas so wonderfully! Great trees in creative containers and I love the pot rack on the chest. I can see you embellishing it with so many cute things throughout the year. And great Christmas present. Now you and Mr. Savvy have your own comfy leather chairs! And yes, Miss Bailey looks relieved now that she can finally sleep on the pillows! Beautiful job Kim!

  7. I just love the idea of putting unused ornaments on display in a basket. We used a smaller tree this year and I was sad to have to leave many of my ornaments in the box. Now I have a fun way to keep them out. Thanks!

  22. I think this is my favorite room in your house--well--I DO like your dining room, too...oh...and the kitchen...okay and the guest room...and...oh--never mind- I like your whole house but I would probably spend most of my time in the sunroom. It all looks great- from the greens in the bucket to the pillows and plaid you are using. Happy pre-Christmas- xo Diana
