French Country Christmas Breakfast Room

12.18.2016

A little French, a little rustic and a little Christmas in the breakfast room. I just put together a few things to create a Christmasy vignette on my vintage French farm table. Next weekend this table will be set and surrounded with family and a big Christmas breakfast.

I gathered things I had on hand for this vignette.

Everything sits on a vintage grain sack.

A vintage enamelware pitcher with a tiny grain sack stocking and a piece of greenery tucked in.

A stack of linen napkins and vintage silverware.

Plates I bought a few years ago at HomeGoods.

Oranges fill an old French bread basket.

Did you notice my fancy new crown molding? That is part of the kitchen reno and we still keep staring at it. Now, we will need to add some trim in the great room some day. One project leads to another.

Come back tomorrow to see the Christmas kitchen with the new look!

  2. It looks very festive. Love the crown molding.
I have launched the Great Curtain Making Project. Many doubts and regrets. It's one of those things where the sewing itself isn't difficult--rectangles--but getting the measurements just so and everything straight with such a huge (12') hunk of fabric....I may be bald by Christmas from tearing my hair out.
