Makeovers of 2016

12.29.2016

At the end of the year it's a good time to reflect back on what was accomplished. There were a few projects in our home accomplished in 2016 and there were a few that I hoped would get done, but didn't. That's alright maybe 2017 will be the year for those.
Today I'm sharing some of the projects and you can click the highlighted links to see the full posts.

The sun room was lightened and brightened last January with a fresh coat of paint.

These lamps were transformed from a dirty peach color to a nice creamy white.

Last March the great room was transformed to a light and bright neutral room.

This was a very quick and easy change on this little antique stool.

I still love the color of this armoire I made over last April.

Fresh look in the French farmhouse guest room after getting new carpet and freshly painted walls.

Still love the way this lantern turned out and it was so easy.

The deck got another transformation. Looking forward to using it again in the spring.

A new toile pattern was added back to the sideboard.

Mr. Savvy got his craft on last summer.

Last July during a heat wave my husband had the brilliant idea that it was a good time to add new sod to the yard. Yep, he tried to kill us.

A fresh coat of paint in the  dining room.

My very favorite and biggest project this year is my new kitchen and the details will be shared soon.

So did you get any projects done this year?

  1. Kim, you've inspired me! I'm off work this week and finally painting my circa 1979 maple bedroom furniture with chalk paint. I prepped the first night table yesterday and today it's time to use that paint. With new knobs I'm' hoping for a great finish. Thanks for sharing all your projects with us.
