My New Kitchen For Christmas

12.19.2016

Yesterday I shared the French country breakfast room and a peek at the fancy crown molding that was added at the ceiling which of course goes all the way around the kitchen, too. We had no idea how that was going to look until the carpenters started installing it. Let me just say, wow, what a difference that made! Today I'm sharing my new kitchen that is ready for Christmas. I will share the deets on the kitchen transformation at a later time. This week the kitchen will become quite busy with cookie baking and then prepping and cooking for the family next weekend. I'm sure it will be the same for many of you as well. It's very hard to get good photos in here this time of year. The light pours in and creates shadows and then the rest of the day very little light comes in and the room is dark.

As you can see the pot rack is gone and I truly don't miss it.

I see my assistant is sleeping on the job again.

You can read the post about the details I shared before this project began and see the way the kitchen looked before HERE.

  18. Wow! The bright white cabinets make such a huge difference. As normal, I was all like "why is she painting those gorgeous cabinets" and then when it's done I can't imagine you NOT having painted them :) Also I love the new molding from the cabinets to the ceiling. It adds such an old-world charm to the room.

  19. GREAT re-do. Kim. I love that the new molding goes all the way to the ceiling and filling in the soffits makes such a big difference. I think it is much 'richer' looking now and a tad more formal-which I like. You did a great job and now it is done for Christmas! YAY!! Happy Holidays to you and your hubby and family- xo Diana
