Yep, More Chairs

2.28.2017

Yesterday I shared my new side and host and hostess chairs in the dining room. Well, the breakfast room has a new set coming, too. Or I should say a new antique set coming. After finding my antique farm table in France I have been on the hunt for a set of antique French chairs with rush seat to go with it. I am thrilled that I found a set being sold by the same seller that I bought the vaisselier from on ebay and they will both arrive on Saturday.

This table has had three different sets of chairs used at it. I loved this set, but they went with the table that I used here before getting this one. I needed to sell the table and chairs together so they are gone.

This is the set I have been using recently. These are four of  eight chairs that came with my dining room table. Soon I will have to sell these, too since I don't really have a place to keep them. The other set was the black chairs with rush seats that we bought with a maple butcher block table from Storehouse around thirty five years ago. That set was just sold.

And here are my pretty new ones from ebay.

I love all the pretty details and Ray told me they are in terrific condition.

I'm looking forward to meeting these in person. 😊

Four more days.

    1. I know everyone thinks I paint everything, but I do not paint perfect French antiques.

    1. I consider ebay a big on line store. I just searched French antiques and French chairs and found these things.

  8. I love that you are getting antiques to replace some pieces in your home. There is nothing like the patina in an antique or vintage piece, it just glows. These will be perfect with that table. How exciting!!

  10. Hi Kim! Love your new chairs. I have a dining room table and chairs that I'm trying to sell and I'm not having much luck. Do you sell your items on Craig's list? Any suggestions? I live in Athens, so maybe I need to list in the Atlanta area as well.

    1. Shay, I took mine to a consignment shop. I don't use Craig's List.

  12. Oh, Kim, the chairs are exquisite! I have a soft spot for chairs. The other day, I found an old, black Windsor (a onesie). I am constantly on the lookout for black Hitchcocks, too. As a result, I am getting ready to take 6 chairs to an antique store on consignment. :-)
