The Old Hutch Reveal in a New Space

3.09.2017

The new French hutch arrived last Saturday morning and I'm in love! With the new hutch in place the old one had to move to a new space. Thank goodness the young men who delivered my antique hutch were nice enough to help us out by moving the old one to a guestroom upstairs. There was no way we could do it ourselves. That sucker is very heavy! We tipped those young men well for a job well done.

Come on in.

I was afraid the hutch might not look good in here, but I actually like it better than the chest that was in here before. You can check out that look here.

Shopping the house again, like I did for the bonus room, I added a few things and some touches of spring. This will be so much fun changing seasonally.

To fill shelves like this I like to layer, add texture, and color.

The large pink colored sea fan adds texture and color. The framed pictures leaning in the back and the sea fan add a layer.

The cute bunny adds a bit of whimsy.

I'm loving this in it's new space and it has a whole new look with the change of accessories to suit it's new location.

See it in the dining room here.

Have an awesome day!

  13. You are so great at styling shelves! So much interest and balance... nice job! Glad the guys could help you move the hutch - that's usually the toughest part - moving those big pieces without anyone throwing out their back! ;)
