Just For Fun Let's Add Pink in the Sunroom

7.31.2017

Last week I shared some of my recent purchases in preparation for fall decorating and I thought just for fun why not try out these gorgeous full of texture softest pink pillows in the blue sunroom for something different. Then when I change up the beds for fall I will use these pillows  where I purchased them for. I took these pictures early in the morning as the sun started coming in and I love the different ways the light hits in here and it changes very quickly casting new shadows.

Early morning and my coffee mug is on the table.

In planning for this post I went to my local Publix looking for pink flowers and I lucked up on these beautiful roses in two different shades. One is more plummy. I pulled out this vintage trophy and cut the roses to size and I love this look. So simple, but adds a little sparkle and glam to the rustic wood.

The pink pairs beautifully with my navy ticking pillows.

Then I added this colorful kilm pillow to the mix for more color and texture.

I finally got this book.

I have had this trophy for several years and love the pretty engraving.

The light was changing so quickly while doing this shoot. It doesn't show in the photo, but the reflection of the ripples on the pond was on the walls, too as it was very breezy out.

Miss Bailey in her favorite spot.

Have an awesome week!

  13. When you talked about the pink pillows last week i just had to go to Pottery Barn and check them out in person! Of course then I had to buy some new pillows for my sectional for fall. I chose the khaki buffalo check with the appliquƩ of paisley. It has that pink, olive, muted chili orange and cream in it. And the back side is a floral print. LOVE that they do that! Fresh flowers are such a good thing, and your pink roses are lovely. Your rooms always look wonderful and you gave me the inspiration to get a jump on fall.

  14. Kim,
Love the pink addition in the sunroom. I have noticed that "blush" has become a favorite for designers over the past year.

We are renovating our master bathroom also and we just painted the walls in BM Italian Ice Green and I decided to add some pink to the room so I painted some rattan chairs in high gloss SW Comical Coral which has a pinkish tone. I was really surprised that my husband liked it but he did.

  19. I love the pink. Your pink pillows do look great with the blue ticking. I'm going to try my hand at making a ticking pillow as soon as I can find the fabric. I think I'll put some pink somewhere too. Have to say, Miss Bailey looks well and such a cute face peeking over!!
