Stars and Stripes in the Sun Room

7.03.2017

Tomorrow is July 4th and many are probably enjoying summer vacations and some may have today off for an extended holiday so today I'm sharing a favorite look I did in the sun room three years ago all decked out in red, white and blue. I hope my new and old readers enjoy this post and have a happy and safe holiday!

Stars and Stripes in the Sun Room
Originally published June 30, 2014

Can y'all believe it is almost July 4th?! This summer is just passing on by. I really wish it would just slow down a bit.

Since it is almost Independence Day I thought I would add some patriotic decor to the sun room.

I have had the blue striped pillows from Pottery Barn for years. I like to pull them back out and use them occasionally.

The star pillow is new from PB. I love the textured stars on this one and I did get it on sale.

I still have my favorite red checked pillow in this chair.

Oh, what's that you say? Is that a new chair? Why, yes. Yes it is. This baby was sitting in the Pottery Barn outlet store and all their upholstered pieces were an extra 20% off. I didn't have to think too long about it and pulled the tag off so no one else could claim it.

This blue striped ironstone bowl was one of my Lucketts' purchases from Miss Mustard Seed's booth.
It normally sits on the open shelving cabinet in the kitchen.

These chairs now reside in here with the blue striped grain sack pillows.

I already have one of these flag pillow covers, but they were a really good by at the outlet mall last weekend so another one came home with me. This is on the other side of the room.

Have you added any patriotic decor?

I hope y'all have a super week!

    1. I believe the colors are French Linen and Aubusson by Annie Sloan Chalk paint. Thanks

  3. Fun to look back on your patriotic touches. I always add red, white, and blue for the summer months. Flags, too, and of course my collection of Uncle Sam and Lady Liberty folk art pieces set the stage tabletop in the dining room, side entry, and kitchen sitting room.
Have a safe and happy 4th of July!

    1. That wall color was river sand by Benjamin Moore and the trim is Chantilly Lace. The walls have been painted with white dove since. Thanks
