Master Bath Progress Week of August 28

9.03.2017

The weeks are flying by, fall is in the air, and the master bath remodel is so close to being finished and I am thrilled! It will be so nice to have our bathroom back instead of using the guest bedroom bathrooms upstairs. I'm glad we had those to use though.
Here are a few things that were done last week.

The tub was taken out of the box and set in place. The plastic will stay on until the tile guy comes back to finish the tiling which will probably make more dust.

The template for the quartz counters was done and I can't wait until install day next Thursday!

Our carpenter fixed this drawer design that was incorrect the first go around. The poor fella was working from a printed out photo that I gave him and the drawer front was very faded out and he was seeing something different.

The most exciting thing was the shower glass was installed.

We went with the more expensive truly clear glass so the corner wouldn't be green. The whole bathroom was green before and that's what I don't want to see plus I think it would have clashed with the blue cabinets and accents. I want to thank Kathy of Good Life of Design blog for telling me about the difference in the glass. If she had not asked me about it mine would have been green.
This glass has less iron in it which is why it isn't green.

I love my big pretty handle on the shower door. That would have been a plain handle if we hadn't gone to the shop to look at the difference in the shower glass. I saw this handle and the cost wasn't any different from the plain one I would have had. I had no clue there were different styles to choose from. The shower glass sales guy came to our house and we placed the order and he asked if I wanted the chrome handle and I said yes not knowing about this beauty.
It's the details that make the difference.

If you follow me on instagram then you saw the chandelier that was hung yesterday.

Enjoy the rest of the long weekend!
