If I were hosting Thanksgiving this year the table might look something like this one that I literally put together by grabbing things from here and there and the only new things are the cloth napkins that I picked up at HomeGoods.
I'm not hosting this year, but I still wanted to put a table setting together just for fun. I pulled this tufted bench from the master bedroom for a different look. This bench is actually for dining, but I like it at the foot of our bed.
When Mr. Savvy saw me working on this he asked if I was playing house again? He always says that when I'm rearranging things.
While shopping at HomeGoods I saw these napkins that almost look like a French linen and I love the blue. I love finding reasonably priced linens there.
I made the centerpiece to go with the theme of these plates I have had for some time. I only have four and wish I could find some more.

I knew I wanted a rustic setting and I wanted to include birds and vintage books.
The sun pours in here half a day.

I'm so glad my niece is hosting this year.
I will be hosting Christmas eve though.
I'm not hosting either. I put my foot down this year! No more Christmas and Thanksgiving BOTH! LOL So, just Christmas at our house this year.
ReplyDeleteI am hosting...and it always seems that the food becomes the centerpiece...I make small table decor and all so dishes can be passed or put down....it just works better...
ReplyDeleteThis year my grandson has moved to the table with a real big boy chair and soon the highchair will have little grandson #2 who is soon to arrive...

Love all the neutrals. We've hosted every year for the past 19...minus the one year I was 7 months pregnant. They were nice enough to give me a break that year!

Your silverware pattern is very pretty!!
ReplyDeleteWe'll probably do a mini Thanksgiving, but maybe not. It isn't a holiday here, and Thursday is my Pilates class. Exercise or eat?
Your Thanksgiving table looks wonderful. I love the addition of the dried roses and old books.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy creating centerpieces. But my mom-in-law will whip them off the table when it's time to eat!
ReplyDeleteKim, is your si er pattern Strasbourg? I inherited silver in that pattern from my mother and grandmother. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI have no clue. I inherited this from my dad's house. I guess it was my step mom's.
DeleteI do love those plates!
ReplyDeleteSilverware pattern looks like Gorham, Chantilly or similar. It is one of the oldest patterns and I think it is still being made. I have an inherited set. I have it on my Pinterest under vintage, and pins for researching silver, in case you want to research it. Like the table and we all need to rearrange rather than shop, don't you think.
ReplyDeleteI agree and shouldn't there be some markings on the back side with a date & the word sterling?
DeleteThey say Gorham sterling, but I don't know the pattern.
DeleteHow pretty, Kim. Love the new napkins.
ReplyDeleteOh my you are awesome your table is beautiful
ReplyDeleteWhat a great looking table. It is fun to "play house". I just haven't had time to do it lately. Love those dishes!!! I don't think I have seen any of those before.
ReplyDeleteWe are having Thanksgiving here this year with a big extended family. I quite counting at 21 people...lol
Hope you have a wonderful week, Kim. xo Diana
I'm sure you've been asked or told us before, but I love the rug and I think it would good good in my living room. Can you share the resource please?
ReplyDeleteIt's from Pottery Barn and I got mine at the outlet. thanks
DeleteIt's lovely, Kim - I think I especially love the vintage books on the table. I have the same silverware (or very similar) - I have to check the back to see what it says. It was my mom's.
ReplyDeleteI love the way you have decorated your table. (I also love the table) I plan to replace the round glass table I have soon with a rectangle styled somewhat as yours is. I'm keeping my upholstered chairs, though. My glass table is beautiful but I am ready for a change.
ReplyDeleteExcellent way to play house! A beautiful tablescape and love your fall motif plates! Your centerpiece is so diverse with all the different accents! The birds are my favorite for they continue the theme in your plates.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
