What I'm Loving....Art in the Bathroom

11.03.2017

Bathrooms can be a bit cold and sterile, but by adding some home accessories and art it becomes a cozier space. I found some great examples of art hung in bathrooms.
Enjoy.

  1. Art is great in a powder room, but it can be problematic in a bathroom because of steam. You need really good ventilation, and even so, works can be damaged. Some of the examples pictured are so close to the tub that I wonder about splashes, too.

  2. Yes, we always hang art in our bathrooms. What wonderful inspiration! But, you have to be careful, because steam from the shower can ruin fine art. It is best to use prints sealed behind glass, not oils or valuable art.

  3. Yes, we do have art in our bathrooms. I agree with Penny though... don't put anything in there that you will be devastated about because ripples happen. I'm looking for art for our guest bath right now and hope to find the perfect wood sign or something that the steam will not damage. Love your inspiration photos!!

  4. Great inspiration pictures. I have art hung in our guest and daughter's bathrooms, but have been looking for some for the master. I do think it really warms up the space.

  7. I think art in bathrooms is fabulous and have hung interesting paintings in bathrooms for quite a long time and in the loo I love nothing more than some humorous art! Many friends do the same, perhaps it is an English thing!!

  8. I have the "running rabbit" print from Sturbridge catalog in my BR and it does add warmth. Mine is sealed under glass and I haven't had any problems. The photos you share look so pretty and always give me inspiration. I served your apple cake again today for our Ladies Literary Luncheon Society meeting and they loved it!

  11. I do hang art in my bathrooms but nothing too fine because of moisture which can damage fine artwork. I have to have art of some sort in every room.
