I hope everyone had a good first week of the new year. It has been way too cold for us southerners and we really don't understand how any of y'all who live in a cold climate do it. I'm ready for our normal temps to return.

Yesterday I shared the new simpler French style chandelier in the dining room and I have a little project to work on this weekend. I'm going to make the ceiling medallion more brown and gold like the chandelier and less blue gray. This will be a good inside project to work on.

Enjoy more inspiration below and stay warm!

  2. I really need some inspiration...getting cabin fever with all this bitter cold weather in the South! However, that's always a great excuse to do some inside projects.

I love the new simpler French chandelier you chose because it coordinates so well with your wall sconces and candlesticks without fighting or overpowering them. Once your paint the medallion it will look even more beautiful.

I recently changed out my old rather plain and boring chandelier and went with a more modern sputnik style lighting fixture and it just added so much bling to the dining room. Stay warm!!

  4. Yes, the cold is even ridiculous for us - and we are used to cold winters in New Jersey! I hope you get some warmer temps soon! Pretty new chandelier!

  5. Love all the pretty inspiration Kim. Stay warm and cozy during your blast of winter. We are use to this stuff up here in the midwest and we are freezing and trying to stay warm, so I can imagine how you guys must feel with the unusually cold temps. Have a safe and warm start to the new week.
    Hugs,
    Kris
