French Country Fridays

6.15.2018

It's Friday so that means another installment of French Country Fridays where I and six fabulously talented friends share some archived or new posts all about French country style and inspiration.

I hope y'all have had a good week. Mine has been a rather mixed bag. I shared my Mom's New Home Reveal at a assisted living facility last Monday and she moved in on Wednesday. At 2:15 am Thursday I got a call that she had fallen again and she has fractured her pelvis again. No surgery needed thank goodness, but it will take several weeks to heal. Hopefully she can return to her new place after she heals for a bit. It's been a rough year for her and us and we would love your continued prayers.

I'm looking forward to having my granddaughter Leila stay with us this weekend!

Now on to lots of French country goodness in all the links below and enjoy the weekend.

  1. Kim,
I am so sorry to hear this. My continued prayers for your Mom, you and your family. I know its been a challenging year to say the least and it must be very depressing for your Mom. I know both my husbands late mother and grandmother had repeated falls as well when they were in care facilities but thankfully they were just bruised and never broke any bones.

I pray your Mom will heal fast and we able to return to her new place soon. I know my Mother in law had to use a walker at all times to help her with stability.

  2. Hi Kim,
Sorry to hear about your mom. Glad she will not need surgery. I feel your worry with your mom. I am dealing with similar things with my mom right now too. It is hard when our parents begin to age to the point of not being able to care for themselves anymore. Hoping and saying a prayer for you sweet mom. You are a great daughter Kim to watch out and do what is best for your mom. I know first hand those decisions are not easy ones. Happy Friday. Have a good weekend. Happy Dad's day to Mr. Savvy!
    Hugs,
    Kris
