A Change in the Sitting Room after Eight Years

10.15.2018

If you have followed me for any length of time then you know things get switched out, moved, and updated around here. For the last eight years or so I have had the blacksmith sign hanging above the vassailier in the sitting room until recently when I decided it was time to move it. It now hangs in the dining room which you can see {HERE} and that left this nice space for my dog art to hang. I'm loving the change. This dog painting is such a good fit in this room.

After changing out the artwork it was time to cozy up the room for fall. Pillows were swapped out and I tucked in some faux flowering boxwood branches in this confit pot and then added some real feathers. Feathers are one of my favorite go tos this time of year.

This is a sunny morning shot from my phone.

The plaid pillows mixed with velvet add warmth in this room.

Haven't changed this gallery wall in years. I have thought about it, but I just love it.

Mr. squirrel comes out every year and lands in different spots.

I would love to find extra time to curl up with the throw in here.

After Mr. Savvy hung it, which was no small feat, he said he liked the new look. Not sure he really meant that or he just didn't want to have to take it back down. Hmmmm.

 No, he really likes it.

Have a great week and look for an announcement tomorrow night here on the blog!

  5. Change is not necessarily always a good thing. I would leave the gallery wall as is.

I not sure if you know your pictures on the bloglovin home page are blurry? At first I thought it was me, but I've looked at it on 3 different devices in two different locations. All the other pictures are fine. Just thought you would want to know

    1. I'm not changing the gallery wall. Yes, I know the pics are blurry and have no clue why. They always have been.

    2. I need to figure out why, but I'm so not techy. You may want to subscribe to the blog and it will come straight to your inbox. I may leave bloglovin. Not that many people really use it. Best to subscribe.

  12. Love the squirrel. Isn't it funny how we have those special items that seem to pop up in different places in our home?

  14. I really like the horse pictures in your gallery. Trying to find the right place for some I purchased at a thrift store. They are similar to the two smaller ones you have on either side of your collection. The ones I bought are from England.
